Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to get to know me. I specialise in wedding and lifestyle photography for couples, families, and individuals seeking meaningful photographs to preserve important moments in their lives. I come from a background of photojournalism so my style of photography is honest, emotive and natural.
I established Zen Photography 8 years ago to document love stories and family milestones with authenticity.
If this resonates with you, then I’d love the chance of documenting a chapter in your life.
But before you decide to share a part of your personal story with me, I thought I’d share some things about me first.
I’ve drifted around a few continents and in the end found myself crafting out a life here in this little tropical paradise, where I now live with my partner, our two boys, and our gentle giant of a doggo. My nomadic past has made me highly adaptive and given me a bottomless craving for travelling.
Some more things about me…
Good food and honest friends are two things I insist on having. Stimulating conversations and meaningful connections over small talk, always.
I absolutely cannot live without music.
When I’m not chasing light I play taiko (Japanese drum) and perform with a local taiko group at various festivals and events.
I’d like to get on a plane at least once a year and go somewhere. Travelling is my biggest addiction so wherever you’re getting married, my bags are always ready.
About my work…
The passion I put into documenting key moments in my own life is the same passion that I put into documenting the lives of my clients. I have gone through all the milestones myself and understand the importance of having honest photographs to preserve personal history.
I was a journalist before becoming a photographer, and I still strongly believe in thoughtfully captured imagery and genuine storytelling. I do this by combining my photojournalistic style of photography with classic portraiture to tell the best visual story possible.
My approach to wedding photography is low key and unobtrusive.
Whatever story you’re wanting to share with me and my camera, I’d love to be there for it.
