HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?

Emotive, journalistic, minimalist, honest, unobtrusive, laid-back and low-key.

WE ARE CAMERA-SHY AND NERVOUS ABOUT A WHOLE HOUR OF WEDDING PORTRAITS OF JUST OURSELVES!

A lot of my clients don’t like being the centre of attention and are camera-shy. I understand where they come from as I can relate. Pre-wedding meet-ups allow us to develop a rapport, get to know one another and get past the daunting aspect of having a stranger follow you around with a camera. By the time the big day comes, I’m just like another friend there to help your wedding day flow better. Most importantly, my approach to photography doesn’t require you to commit to stiff or awkward poses that don’t show who you are as a couple or individuals. What’s important for me is to hold space for my clients and celebrate them for who they are. On the wedding day, the creative portraits we take on location is just an excuse to give you an hour to yourselves away from guests, so you can enjoy some quiet time together as a married couple, go on a romantic stroll at sunset before going back to the party. That’s it, really!

A LOT OF YOUR IMAGES ON SOCIAL MEDIA ARE OF COUPLES. DO YOU ALSO TAKE PHOTOS OF DETAILS AND FAMILIES ON THE DAY?

Without a doubt. I want my couples to book me for the soul connection and intimacy they see in my work, and not for my ability to shoot table settings, so that’s why I post mainly couples’ creative portraits. On the wedding day of course all the formalities, wedding details, family portraits and the candid moments in between are equally important that I photograph.

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE GET FROM OUR WEDDING?

I don’t limit how many images I capture over the course of the day.  After the wedding I back up your images to multiple hard drives, remove unflattering photos and duplicates, and carefully select the best images that showcase your day. I typically deliver about 70 images for every hour of coverage.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?

Within a week of getting married, you receive a sneak peek gallery from me, containing highlights from your wedding. This way you know what to expect in the coming weeks and to have a handful of photos to share with your loved ones while excitement is still high! After that it typically takes between 8-12 weeks for you to receive your images. During peak wedding season it may take up to 15 weeks.

DO YOU TRAVEL INTERSTATE OR INTERNATIONALLY?

You betcha! I have photographed weddings in Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Canada. I find it refreshing and inspiring to work in new locations. I always check out new locations before the day, and when that’s not possible, clients and I collaborate by scouting locations together via photos and video conferences. I never show up unprepared. I also offer special rates for destination weddings and charge only cost price for flights and accommodation, so please get in touch if you’d like to take me along to your destination wedding!

WHERE ELSE CAN WE VIEW YOUR WORK?

I’m pretty active on insta, where I post most of my wedding sneak peeks and travel work.
