HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
Emotive, journalistic, minimalist, honest, unobtrusive, laid-back, wabi-sabi. My general style is documentary, which means your photos will look natural and candid. I’m not into cheesy and over-posed photos, so I hope you aren’t either.
WE ARE CAMERA-SHY AND NERVOUS ABOUT A WHOLE HOUR OF WEDDING PORTRAITS OF JUST OURSELVES!
Most of my clients don’t like being the centre of attention and are camera-shy, but I always manage to get them to open up and relax in front of the camera. Pre-wedding meet-ups allow us to develop a rapport, get to know one another and get past the daunting aspect of having a stranger follow you around with a camera. By the time the big day comes, I’m just another friend helping your wedding day flow better. Most importantly, my approach to photography doesn’t require you to commit to stiff or awkward poses that don’t show who you are as a couple or individuals. Just be yourselves, and I’ll make sure to capture your best angles and moments.
CAN WE MEET YOU BEFORE/AFTER BOOKING?
Absolutely! I meet with all my couples in person or at least Facetime/Skype with the clients aren’t local. Most of the time we meet after you book so we can brainstorm and exchange ideas for the best experience on the day, but if you’re unsure and have lots of questions, we can arrange a meet-up and you can suss me out in person.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE GET FROM OUR WEDDING?
It depends on how many guests attend, how long your wedding day goes for, the weather, how much time you allocate for your location photos, which package you choose, etc… there are so many factors, but rest assured you will never have too few images to choose from.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
It typically takes between 4-8 weeks from the day of your wedding for you to receive your images.
DO YOU SHOOT FILM OR DIGITAL?
I love the look of film, and you may find that my imagery is reminiscent of the good ol’ film days. However, as a wedding photographer I prefer the ease and convenience of digital photography, which leaves room for my creative brain to focus on capturing as many moments of your important day as possible.
DO YOU TRAVEL INTERSTATE OR INTERNATIONALLY?
Yes! I have photographed weddings in Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane and as far as Canada. I find it refreshing and inspiring to work in new locations. I offer special rates for destination weddings and charge only minimal travel fees to cover my travelling addiction, so please get in touch if you’d like to take me along!
