I made it into National Geographic!

Epic. Amazing. Dream come true. Unexpected. Incredible. Surreal.

These are some of the words that ran through my head as I woke up this morning and found my solar eclipse photographs featured on National Geographic.

I thought I was still dreaming. But there they are, my photos, featured on at least four different NatGeo sites: America, Australia, Japan and Europe! Thanks to photo agencies Demotix and Corbis, my images were sent to news agencies around the world, and even though so far only one publication has bought them, it is the publication that inspired me to become a photographer in the first place.

And a special thanks to Tommy Cuellar, L.A. photographer and good friend of mine, who convinced me I had taken front-page newsworthy photographs. (OK this is starting to sound like an Oscars speech – I’ll shut up now). But truly, I am so grateful for everyone and everything that have helped make this happen. So thank you!
