Lucy & Dale {Yungaburra Wedding Photography}

Lucy and Dale’s garden wedding was full of love and laughter and wonderful one-of-a-kind details.

These two Cairns locals, together with their family and friends, retreated to the Atherton Tablelands for a casual and intimate wedding. The girls got ready at a classic high-set Queenslander cottage overlooking the quaint town of Yungaburra, and the boys chilled out at a smaller cottage that backed onto some bush land and a creek.

Lucy let Dale see her in her charming dress an hour before the ceremony, and then the whole bridal party ventured into the woods for some pretty pictures.

As for the official ceremony itself, the pair said their vows under a canopy of trees in Lucy’s aunty’s backyard, which just so happened to back onto a gorgeous part of Lake Tinaroo!

We were blessed with beautiful golden sunlight for our location photos, and even though Dale is not a fan of the camera, the relaxed setting and casual nature of the shoot meant we got the shots without working him too hard.

Then we arrived at the Allumbah Cottages and I saw the wedding cake and the garden party setting and what with Lucy’s dress — it was very Alice in Wonderland-esque. All we were missing was croquet.

This wedding was a treat to be a part of. Such a fun and rowdy bunch, and incredibly well planned. Thank you Lucy + Dale! xoxo
