Lenelle & Julian {Sarayi Palm Cove Wedding Photography}
Lenelle and Julian tied the knot at Sacred Heart church at Freshwater and celebrated their marriage at Sarayi Palm Cove. Their reception was catered by Nunu. It was a classy and meticulously styled event.
I loved so many things about this wedding. Beautiful, genuine and kind couple for a start, and one of those times when you should judge people by the company they keep, because their family and friends couldn’t have been a nicer bunch.
Lenelle had her wedding gown custom-made and it fit her petite frame like a glove. The lace that made her dress was unique and exquisite. She also was the first bride I met to have a male bridesmaid, her awesome fun brother. Love that idea!
I gotta explain the Star Wars subtext in the location photos. I met up with Lenelle and Julian on May 4th (a day celebrated only if you’re into Star Wars), and Julian showed up wearing his Star Wars T-shirt. I think Lenelle spent most of the conversation trying to shut us up about getting Star Wars props for the photoshoot, so we let it go. On the day of the wedding, I went to her bridesmaid’s house, and lo’ n behold, there’s a whole granny flat decked out in Star Wars paraphernalia. I was in heaven! :) I mean, the cat was named Vader! C’mon! Then the proud owner of said collection was so kind as to lend me a storm trooper helmet on the condition that nobody but the groom handled it, so I said, deal, and the rest was history. Thankfully Lenelle was a good sport and never scolded us for being geeks, and it was a great surprise for Julian.
But the best bits about the day were their heartfelt ceremony at Sacred Heart Church, the way he looked at her throughout the day like there was nobody else in the room, and the not so traditional family portraits at sunset. Thank you guys for including me in your special day. I almost missed out on the chance to capture such a beautiful occasion but am grateful that it worked out. Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness together. xo
