Like any other girl, I love reading Vogue, Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar. Seeing me in real life you would never know.

What I love about fashion magazines is of course, the photography. It isn’t the glamour or the clothes but but the element of fantasy and escapism that fashion photography inherently carries that fascinates me. The clothes generally tell a story, but a good fashion photographer always takes the viewers to another time and space with her concept.

I try to incorporate this style into my portraiture. It can be glamourous, but mostly it tells a story. And I love a good fantasy.

Last month Bella and I had a photo blind date. We’d never met in real life and conceptualised our shoot over text messages and emails. When we met up, the chemistry was instant. We didn’t really have a story but what we did have was a magical location to work with. So we just played – with nature, with light, with water… And before the lens Bella just transformed into this little happy and beautiful fairy having a play in this enchanting rainforest.
