Love knows no bounds, that’s how the old saying goes, isn’t it?

When a girl abandons the hustle bustle of Sydney life and goes trekking up the peaks of the Himalayas, then one day meets eyes with a local boy at a market in Kathmandu, and the two fall in love, and he abandons the mountains for the sea… what do you call that?

One hell of a romance!

Fiona is a very dear friend of mine. Kind, fun and loyal. A true friend from day 1. That kind of friendship is hard to come by. And so I do my best to honour it.

Over the Christmas holidays they drove all the way up from Sydney to see us. This was their pre-wedding photoshoot in preparation for the big day in February. We were practically eaten by marsh flies, but it was worth it.
