One night in Shibuya
One night we took a late night walk around Shibuya. It was our last night in Tokyo and we didn’t want it to end. It was 11pm, way past a 2-year-old’s bedtime, but he wasn’t in a hurry to go to back to the hotel to sleep anyway.
Sometimes I just get nostalgic for people and places… but particularly for Tokyo and all of its alienating yet comforting anonymity, the overwhelming lights and sounds. I miss being awake in a city that never sleeps. I miss its safety, its punctual and functional rhythms…
See you again one night in the not so distant future hopefully, Tokyo.
