Rebecca & Joshua, Tjapukai Cairns Wedding

This is one of my favourite weddings to have had the privilege to capture, and personally some of my proudest work to date. Rebecca and Joshua had so much love for each other; the connection they shared was inspirational.

This was the only wedding I ever shot at Tjapukai Cultural Park. As a ceremony venue, it was enchanting. The surrounding nature and the spirit of the place made the wedding feel extra special. Recently I drove past Tjapukai, now closed permanently due to the pandemic shutting international borders, and I felt sad that so many people won’t get to see and learn about indigenous culture at this wonderful place again.
